Product Overview
Flame retardant PP sheet meets UL94 V-0 or V-2 flammability standards while maintaining the excellent chemical resistance of standard polypropylene. Required for electrical enclosures, transportation, and building applications with fire safety regulations.
Technical Details
Flame retardant PP sheet is produced by compounding polypropylene with halogen-free flame retardant additives (phosphorus-based or intumescent systems) to achieve UL94 V-0 or V-2 ratings. Halogen-free formulations comply with RoHS, REACH, and EN 45545 (railway) requirements. The flame retardant additives reduce the oxygen index from ~18% (standard PP) to >28% (FR grade), significantly improving fire performance. FR PP retains the excellent chemical resistance, weldability, and low density of standard PP while adding fire safety compliance. Available in both homopolymer (PPH-FR) and copolymer grades.
