Product Overview
PP (Polypropylene) sheet offers excellent chemical resistance, lightweight properties, and good thermal stability. Widely used in chemical processing, food industry, and water treatment applications. Available in both homopolymer (PPH) and copolymer grades.
Technical Details
Polypropylene sheet is available in two main grades: homopolymer (PPH) and copolymer (PPR/PPC). Homopolymer PP offers higher stiffness and better chemical resistance, while copolymer PP provides improved impact resistance, especially at low temperatures. PP has the lowest density of all engineering plastics (0.90–0.91 g/cm³), making it the lightest option for weight-sensitive applications. It can be welded by hot gas, extrusion, or butt fusion welding. PP is resistant to most inorganic acids, alkalis, and aqueous solutions, but is attacked by strong oxidizing acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. The service temperature is 90–100°C continuous, with short-term peaks to 120°C. PP is FDA and EU food-contact compliant.
