Product Overview
Nylon PA6 sheet (Polyamide 6) combines excellent mechanical strength, good fatigue resistance, and moderate chemical resistance. Widely used in mechanical engineering, automotive, and industrial applications requiring high load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability.
Technical Details
Nylon (Polyamide) sheets are available in extruded PA6, extruded PA66, and cast MC Nylon grades. PA6 offers the best balance of mechanical properties and cost. PA66 provides higher stiffness and better heat resistance (up to 120°C continuous). Cast MC Nylon (Monomer Cast Nylon) is produced by anionic polymerization, allowing very large cross-sections and superior mechanical properties compared to extruded grades. Oil-filled grades (MoS₂ or oil-impregnated) provide enhanced self-lubrication for bearing and wear applications. Nylon absorbs moisture from the environment, which slightly reduces stiffness but improves impact resistance and toughness — this should be considered in precision applications.

Material Selection Guide
Choose PA6 for general-purpose applications requiring good mechanical properties at moderate cost. Choose PA66 when higher temperature resistance or stiffness is needed.
