Product Overview
Rigid PVC sheet offers excellent chemical resistance, good dimensional stability, and ease of fabrication. Available in both grey and white colors, suitable for chemical processing equipment, signage, and construction applications.
Technical Details
Rigid PVC (uPVC / PVC-U) sheet is produced by extrusion of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride. It offers a good combination of mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and ease of fabrication at a competitive cost. PVC can be bonded with solvent cement or welded by hot gas welding. It is self-extinguishing (UL94 V-0) without additional flame retardant additives, making it suitable for electrical and construction applications with fire safety requirements. PVC is resistant to most inorganic acids, alkalis, alcohols, and aqueous salt solutions, but is attacked by ketones, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. The service temperature is limited to 60°C continuous due to relatively low heat distortion temperature.
