Product Overview
Anti-static UHMWPE sheet with controlled surface resistivity for applications requiring electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. Combines the wear resistance of UHMWPE with permanent anti-static properties for electronics, mining, and explosive environments.
Technical Details
Anti-static UHMWPE sheet is produced by incorporating conductive carbon black or other anti-static additives into the UHMWPE matrix during compression molding. The result is a permanent anti-static material — unlike surface-applied anti-static coatings, the anti-static properties are inherent to the material and do not wear off. Surface resistivity is controlled to 10⁶–10⁹ Ω (static dissipative range), which safely dissipates electrostatic charges without creating a conduction path that could cause sparks or current flow. This makes the material suitable for ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 explosive atmospheres. The material retains all the mechanical properties of standard UHMWPE including exceptional wear resistance, impact strength, and self-lubrication.
