Technical Details
Flame retardant HDPE sheet is produced by compounding HDPE with halogen-free flame retardant additives to achieve UL94 V-0 rating. The material retains the core properties of standard HDPE — chemical resistance, impact strength, FDA compliance, and weldability — while adding fire safety performance. FR HDPE is used in applications where standard HDPE would be specified but fire regulations require flame retardancy. Halogen-free formulations ensure low smoke and toxic gas emission in fire conditions, important for enclosed spaces and transportation applications.
