Product Overview
Custom nylon sprockets machined from PA6 or PA66 nylon bar stock. Lighter than steel, quieter operation, self-lubricating, and corrosion-resistant. Available for standard chain pitches or custom tooth profiles from customer drawings.
Technical Details
Nylon sprockets are CNC-machined from solid PA6, PA66, or MC Nylon (cast nylon) bar stock or blanks. The machining process allows precise tooth profiles conforming to DIN, ANSI, or custom specifications. Nylon sprockets are approximately 1/7 the weight of equivalent steel sprockets, significantly reducing rotating inertia and enabling faster start-stop cycles. The self-lubricating properties eliminate the need for chain lubrication in many applications, reducing maintenance and contamination risk in food and pharmaceutical environments. Nylon sprockets absorb shock and vibration, reducing noise and extending chain life. Steel hub inserts can be incorporated for high-torque applications.
