Product Overview
Nylon sleeve bearings and bushings offer self-lubrication, corrosion resistance, and quiet operation. Suitable for light-to-medium load applications where maintenance-free operation is required. Available in standard sizes or custom-machined.
Technical Details
Nylon bushings and sleeve bearings are machined from PA6, PA66, or oil-filled nylon (MoS₂-filled or oil-impregnated). The self-lubricating properties allow dry running without external grease or oil in many applications, reducing maintenance requirements and contamination risk. Nylon bushings are electrically insulating, preventing galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. They are lighter than bronze or steel bushings and do not corrode in wet or chemical environments. Oil-filled nylon provides the lowest friction coefficient (0.10–0.15) and is recommended for continuous rotation applications. Standard bore sizes from 5mm to 200mm are available; custom sizes and flanged designs are machined to drawing.
