Product Overview
Nylon PA6 round rod and bar stock for machining precision parts. Excellent balance of strength, toughness, and machinability. Available in extruded and cast (MC Nylon) grades for different performance requirements.
Technical Details
Nylon rod is available in extruded PA6 (small to medium diameters, up to 150mm) and cast MC Nylon (large diameters up to 300mm+). Extruded PA6 rods offer consistent properties and are suitable for most general-purpose machining applications. Cast MC Nylon rods are produced by anionic polymerization in molds, resulting in higher molecular weight, better mechanical properties, lower moisture absorption, and better dimensional stability compared to extruded grades — especially important for large cross-sections. Oil-filled (MoS₂) and glass-filled grades are available for specific performance requirements.
