Product Overview
Polycarbonate (PC) sheet offers exceptional impact resistance (250× stronger than glass), optical clarity, and good temperature resistance. Available in clear, tinted, and UV-protected grades for glazing, safety shields, and display applications.
Technical Details
Polycarbonate sheet is produced by extrusion of PC resin. It offers the highest impact resistance of any transparent material — approximately 250 times stronger than glass and 30 times stronger than acrylic. PC maintains its properties over a wide temperature range (-40°C to +120°C) and can be thermoformed at elevated temperatures. UV-stabilized grades (with UV absorber coating or co-extrusion) are available for outdoor applications. PC is available in solid sheet and multiwall (twin-wall, triple-wall) configurations. The material can be cold-bent to a minimum radius of approximately 100× thickness. PC is susceptible to attack by aromatic solvents, ketones, and strong alkalis.

Choose PC for applications requiring impact resistance with optical clarity. For outdoor applications, always specify UV-stabilized grade. For maximum optical clarity and UV resistance, consider acrylic (PMMA) if impact resistance requirements are lower.
